DotA skill that hurts the most in real life
I was surfing the DotA forum when i came across this interesting thread: "Which skill do you think hurts the most in REALITY?" So which skill in dota would you think is the worst if it hits you in real life?
Here are some of the most hurting ones of them all in my opinion:
Doom: It really hurts. What do you expect? You are roasted alive. And the worst part is? You cant even mutter a word, because you are silenced! Just imagine your mouth is being duct-taped while are being burned, yes the whole 16 agonizing seconds of the last of ur life.
Butcher's Combo: You are minding your own business and suddenly out of nowhere a hook comes, burrows into your flesh and pulls you toward a freaking nightmare monster...and that's not the end, the monster then releases rot and disease from his body and you see your body rotting alive and you cant do anything about it. Just when you thought its over, he starts to dismember you and eats you alive and U SEE UNTIL THE VERY LAST MINUTE TILL UR BODY JOINS WITH THE FLESH HEAP INSIDE THE BUTCHER, where eaten alive seems less painful..
Nether Strike: You're just sitting around, minding your own business again, when suddenly a giant blue humanoid pig phases in next to you, paralyzes you, and smacks you in the face with a thurible. Over, and over, AND OVER again....
Omnislash: Minding your own business, farming rice again, all of a sudden, some chaos orc comes round and slashes you again and again and again and again until you are a pile of meat balls. And if that's not enough he puts up a dance of death and spin and spin and spin and spin towards whatever that's left of you and can't do anything about it and makes you feel like a retard for every single last second.
Meepo's Combo: Imagine 4 little cute meepos whacking you and dealing 99999 dmg per second and slowing you like there's no tomorrow. You tried to run, but they net you down while walking around you laughing at your pathetic cries for mercy. Then for a moment you thought they let you go, as they each disappeared, for a split of a second that is and you get poof-ed to death. Now, that's gotta hurt your ego..
Here are some of the most hurting ones of them all in my opinion:

Cursor 10 - The power of 10
Cursor 10 is one of the most unique and clever flash games that i've ever seen which plays with both time and space! At the start, it might seems trivial, clicking on the stairways to proceed on to the next level. But as you played on, you will realized there is much more to it.

Managed to reach finished the game after a few tries with a score of 137.. lol
Try it!

Grid Wars!!

Grid Wars 2, by Mark Incitti, is a freeware game for PC and Mac.
Basically grid war2 is a shooting game where you shoot those different shapes thingy and earn points, gain weapon upgrades, get item bonus like The bomb and well, basically, stay alive. And its not quite an easy task at first. I could only manage to like survive for a couple of mins, before being consumed by those space monsters that farking filled the whole screen. Serious shit, its damn exciting trying to find your way through and shooting the hell out of them.

Then there's this black hole element in the game where it will suck everything (including you!) into it and it expands while sucking in more and expand until it overwhelms and blast into pieces while unleashing everything it contains straight towards you! Killing the black hole earns you lots of points but its no easy task trying juggle between hitting it and managing the other little minons flying around you.
The longer you play, the more powerful the monsters become (i constantly gets freak out by new monsters especically those red thingy that rushes straight at me relentlessly), the higher your points multiplier will be (me got to only max 5X multiplier only) and the better your weapon system will become and thus lengthening your survival and also enhancing your points.

And of course, it is generally not acceptable to lose the game with bombs in your inventory. Bombs basically clear the screen of all monsters. But then, you get no points and your point’s multiplier falls back to 1X.
My best is 12 mins with ard 385k points.
Go try it!

Of games to play this sem

Wahaha! Need to play the following games for my electronic gaming module:
Retro & Casual Games:
Pong
Space Invaders
Donkey Kong
Pac-Man
Super Mario Bros
Street Fighter 2
Tetris
Diner Dash
Bejeweled 2
Geometry Wars (a clone called Grid Wars)
And some more game demos, one from each genre:
First-person shooter:
Halo
Racing game:
GTR FIA Racing
Sports game:
FIFA 06
Role-play game:
Baldur's Gate 2
Strategy game:
Age of Mythology
Of course the main objective is not to just play, but to think of some questions as we play, like:
What are the elements that make this game fun?
What does not work well?
Is this only my subjective taste or a general issue?
Who is the target audience?
What might be potential other options and what are the pros and cons?
Which technological game systems are included?
What do other games do differently?
Alrighty, looks like i got quite alot of gaming to do this weekend. (Ya its weekend for me already, thurs and fri no class, super long weekend woah!)
Happy gaming!! Heh.

Of Platform Racing

6 levels in total; have to get certain number of points before you can unlock the next level. My favorite level was infernal hop with a best timing of 39 secs! Heh.
It was quite fun, but only for a while. Cos after you try out all the levels, the excitement and fun died down. If only there are more levels then it would be great.
Try it out!

Bowmaster Game

"Your kingdom is under attack! You are armed with a legendary bow and can use a variety of spells and different types of magical arrows to defeat your enemy. Use strategy to prioritize your targets and exploit their weaknesses."
There are 4 modes of shooting, auto aim, point aim, pull string and drag anywhere.
1) Auto aim is where the arrow will go directly to your mouse click, no challenge at all lar, dun be such a wussy.
2) Point aim is similar to that of auto aim but this time your arrows will be subjected to effects of gravity. Power is determined by a power bar which you can set. Personally, this mode sucks, dun use it.
3) Pull string mode is the challenging one and the method I prefer cos it somewhat simulates the pulling of a bow string by clicking and holding a green circle button, then dragging and releasing it. The power is determined by the distance of how far back you pull the string and the angle is determined by the rotation of your bow.
4) The last one, drag anywhere, is similar to pull string mode only that for this one you are not restricted by the green circle and can drag anywhere you like.
There are skills and upgrades which you can get by using the money you earn after each level.
My opinion is to get the summons asap so you can have an easier time killing the enemies. However, there's friendly fire, so I always accidentally hit my own warriors and end up feeling so dumb lol. Next, dun bother about those weak single target magical arrows like fire and ice arrow; they sucks due to the cool down time. Go for those upgrades with AOE like fire wave and ice wave arrows, they are really handy.

The Battle for Wesnoth
(Via Pandy's)

Other than playing Hero Online (current level: 43... heh), I am also playing this game called: The Battle for Wesnoth recently. This is a turn-based strategy game, like Heroes of Might and Magic, which is free to download and play. It is fantasy based and have 6 different races: humans, dwarves, elves, orcs, undeads and the drakes.
The campaigns sounds interesting too, but i have yet to finish it, will get to it when i have more time at hand.

Fight to regain the throne of Wesnoth, of which you are the legitimate heir... step into the boots of a young officer sent to guard a not-so-sleepy frontier outpost... vanquish a horde of undead warriors unleashed by a foul necromancer, who also happens to have taken your brother hostage... guide a band of elvish survivors in an epic quest to find a new home."

"The idea is to build up the solid shape indicated by the views to the left - but only using the number of cubes given. There are 10 problems, called figuur1 to figuur10. Be warned: they are not easy."
Btw, green circle means completed while yellow means completed with the given number of cubes.
I can solve all of them with the number of cubes given except 1 and 10. *Sulk*

Pink ones will teleport you to somewhere else on the keyboard.
Yellow ones will teleport you to another yellow key.
Purple ones will give you boost for your next jump.
Cyan ones will give you a protective layer which protects you from red keys once.

Of spot the difference

Try this out, spot the difference game, very much like the photo hunt game in the arcade. This one, however, have a lot of other add ons, such as moving image, mirror image, and inverted image (omg this one sucks).
Each level have a few puzzles to solve and a new level will be unlocked if you clear all the puzzles in the current level. I am now at Teal level, where they first introduced the inverted image mode. I was so lousy at this mode that the above puzzle took me damn long and I had to cheat in order to find the last one.. well, i copied the image into paint and invert the image back again to find the last one...lol!
Ohh and there's the option of using "magic spot" to auto-spot the difference for you, but that one is limited as you only get one "magic spot" when you unlock a level.
Check it out here: Spot the difference!

Domino pressure game

If you pick the right one, you get more time on the clock for next time, otherwise you get a second knocked off for each domino that's still left standing.
Tips: You get three "passes" per game (by clicking on the bottom-right tomatoes) for arrangements that look just too complicated.
Play Domino pressure!
