I think I must relax abit on those tutorials, especially system and control. While having a conversation with my friends today before tutorial, I actually said "output" of the train when I meant "doors" of the train. Sheesh..
Well, the train IS a "transfer function", or at least its function is to transfer people.
Now, next time you take the train, remember to examine the (grab) poles closely. If the poles appear to be in the RHP, then exit the train quickly ! The train is unstable !
Well, if you take the symmetry line along the train to be the origin, then the poles are all on the imaginary axis and can safely assume that the train is marginally stable, which is kinda the expected result as the train often oscillate about its steady state value! Hahaha!
